Pudu D7 and D5: manipulation meets industrial mobility

Pudu presents complementary approaches to handling objects and moving through difficult industrial environments.

At IFA 2026 in Berlin, Pudu presented PUDU D7 alongside PUDU D5. Its exhibition report describes a contrast between object manipulation and movement across challenging terrain.

D7: handling work on the factory floor

According to Pudu's launch announcement, the industrial semi-humanoid supports a payload of up to 14 kg and can operate at heights of up to 2 m. Operating height should not be read as arm reach. The company describes warehouse tasks including shelf picking, replenishment and material transport.

Pudu also describes tactile sensing, dual-arm force control and autonomous battery swapping. These are manufacturer claims; the announcement does not establish independently measured performance or a battery-runtime figure.

D5: a series with different forms

The official series page groups the legged D5 and wheeled-legged D5-W together. Pudu describes navigation, remote control and modular accessories for inspection, security, logistics and research. It warns that performance figures come from laboratory tests and can vary with the environment, that some features are pending, and that the inspection kit and charging dock are optional.

In its exhibition report, Pudu says D5-W demonstrated movement over stairs, gravel and sand. It identifies warehouses, tunnels and mining sites as intended settings, with transport and patrol among the potential applications. A show demonstration does not establish deployment at those sites.
